Windermere overview

Any trip to the Lake District National Park would not be complete without visiting the largest natural lake in England; Windermere. This resort-style area has been a popular destination for foreign and local holidaymakers alike since the 19th century and has many holiday homes. The water is the main attraction here so if you suffer from sea sickness, it is probably best to stick to solid ground. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing and sailing to name just a few activities but sea-sickness sufferers may prefer hiking. There is no shortage of comfortable accommodation, which is open all year round.
