Stratford upon Avon overview

Stratford upon Avon Travel Guide
Thespians abound in this quaint market town located in Warwickshire. It is the birthplace of William Shakespeare, meaning much of the town’s history is centred on his life and works. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is currently being redeveloped to give the audience a show that is closer to what performances would have been like back when Shakespeare wrote his plays. Shopping in the town is diverse as boutique stores stand alongside high street brand names. This is traditional England and it would not be complete without a stop in a local tea shop where homemade scones and an assortment of teas can be drunk in the late afternoon.
