Southampton overview

Southampton Travel Guide
This city, on the south coast of England, is the largest in the county and home to the main ferry port serving the Isle of White. Fixed up with impressive shopping areas, both indoor and outdoor, it attracts people from miles around who apparently like to queue in endless lines for a parking space. Weekdays are a far better time to journey here and enjoy the harbour area, which is home to an annual boat show of million-pound yachts and pauper’s sail boats. The city has been a large importer of French wine since before the 13th century and today you will find private buyers in their four-wheel drive pealing away from the ferry docks fully loaded with vin from abroad.
