Liverpool overview

Liverpool Travel Guide
It is easy to see why Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture in 2008. The city is home to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the oldest Chinatown in Europe and the largest collection of artefacts from the National Museum outside of London, not to mention its legacy of The Beatles. Popular tourist hotspots here include the Mersey River, and visitors can enjoy a ferry ride to soak up the city sights from a unique perspective (even if a slightly murky, muddy perspective). Liverpool and Everton are both based within a short distance of each other and taking to the city streets after a match is not for the faint hearted.
