Leeds overview

The largest city in Yorkshire has earned the nickname ‘Knightbridge of the North’ due to its unrivaled shopping districts; a dream come true for credit card companies. The main centre boasts more than 1,000 stores spread throughout pedestrian precincts and indoor shopping malls. Leeds is rich in culture with museums, stately homes and theatres, and you could be forgiven for forgetting you are in a university city that is awash with bars, clubs and parties during term time. Plenty of transport options are waiting to whisk you through the city streets although the main attractions are situated close together, meaning many prefer to don their walking boots to get around.
