Coventry overview

Coventry Travel Guide
Unless you’re into cathedrals and museums, a visit to Coventry is not really necessary unless you are already in the Midlands region of central England. It has the face of a typical mid-sized English town, albeit one which was partially destroyed in WWII, with standard high street stores and a collection of pubs amid quite pretty surrounds. The major landmark for those so inclined is 14th century Coventry Cathedral, which was rebuilt after the war, and the historic Cathedral Quarter for its night time drinking. Another decent attraction is the Coventry Transport Museum, boasting a huge collection of British motors, including the Thrust2 jet car. You can also learn about Lady Godiva, who rode through Coventry stark naked in the mid-11th century.
