Channel Islands overview

Channel Islands Travel Guide
The Channel Islands are a set of five, little self-governing islands (Crown Dependencies) under the banner of the UK that reside closer to France than England. They are situated mainly in the Bay of St Malo and are known for their easy-going nature, fine beaches, and great weather. Jersey is the largest and most populous of the Channel Islands and is the closest to the French mainland. It has St Heliers as its picturesque capital, which comes with a fair amount of history and hotels. Guernsey is the next visited, while Sark, Alderney and Herm are much less seen. The islands are quite expensive but offer a different and altogether more refined experience to the UK mainland. Jersey and Guernsey both have airports and all islands have ports.
