UK England overview

UK England Travel Guide
England is the main piece of Great Britain; that large island between Ireland and the continent. Believe it or not, it is one of the world’s top holiday destinations, after the US, France, Italy and Spain, and is made up of a patchwork of beautiful countryside and a collection of fun towns and cities. Major attractions are the capital, London, a flash city of famous landmarks, theatres, and fashion; nearby Oxford and Cambridge, famed for their ancient universities; West Country Bristol and Bath, known for their spas and Georgian houses; Brighton and Bournemouth, for the beach life; and Manchester and Liverpool, towards the north. The weather is generally not as bad as people would have you believe, but if you do manage to hit the old country during a particularly dreary spell, head for Cornwall as it is generally the least dreary.
